Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services and websites operated by Rosterly, Inc. ("Rosterly", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
1. Who may use Rosterly
Rosterly connects high school athletes with college coaches. You may use our services only if you can form a binding contract with us and are not barred from doing so under applicable law.
If you are under 18, you may use Rosterly only with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. We may ask for a parent or guardian's confirmation before some features, including paid ones, can be used. Coaches must be affiliated with an accredited institution and authorized to act on its behalf.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for maintaining the security of your sign-in credentials, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at security@joinrosterly.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit to Rosterly — profile information, statistics, documents, images, and communications ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the services — for example, showing an athlete's profile to verified coaches when the athlete has enabled visibility.
You are responsible for Your Content. Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringes the rights of others, or that you do not have the right to share.
4. Connected accounts and third-party services
Some features let you connect third-party accounts — for example, a coach connecting a Google or Microsoft email and calendar account through Nylas, our email-integration provider. Connecting an account is optional, and you may disconnect it at any time in your settings, which stops further syncing.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we access and why.
Third-party services you use through Rosterly (such as Google, Microsoft, or your authentication provider) are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Rosterly is free for athletes to use. Rosterly Plus is an optional paid subscription that lets an athlete send their profile to the programs they choose (up to three at a time) and see when coaches there view it. The price, the billing period, and what is included are shown before you buy. Prices are in US dollars. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the charge at its own rate and may add a fee.
Automatic renewal. Rosterly Plus renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. We charge the payment method you provided at the start of each period. If we change the price, we will email you 30 days before the new price takes effect (never less than 7 days), tell you how to cancel, and the new price will apply from your next renewal after that. For subscriptions bought in the Rosterly iPhone app, Apple tells you about price changes and asks for your agreement.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. On the web, go to Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription. If you subscribed through the Rosterly iPhone app, cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. You can always cancel the same way you subscribed — online, from your account — with no call or email required. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. There is no fee to cancel.
Refunds. Payments are not refunded for a partial period: when you cancel, your subscription simply does not renew. If something has gone wrong — for example you were charged after cancelling — contact support@joinrosterly.com and we will put it right. Purchases made through the App Store are refunded by Apple under Apple's policies. Our Refunds and cancellation page explains all of this in plain language.
Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we retry it over the following days and email you so you can update your card. You keep Rosterly Plus for up to seven days while we retry. If payment has not succeeded by then, Plus features pause and, if it still fails, the subscription is cancelled and nothing more is charged.
Who may buy. Rosterly Plus may be bought only by an adult: an athlete who is 18 or older, or the parent or legal guardian of the athlete whose profile it is for. By purchasing, you confirm this. If you are a parent or guardian, you are the purchaser: you are agreeing to this section for yourself, you are responsible for the payments, you consent to the athlete using Rosterly Plus, and you can cancel it at any time. We send receipts and notices about the subscription to the email address given at checkout. If you are under 18, ask your parent or guardian to complete the purchase.
Payment processing. Payments on the web are processed by Stripe, and payments in the Rosterly iPhone app by Apple. Card details are entered on their secure pages and are never stored by Rosterly. Your use of their services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies; subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are also subject to Apple's Media Services terms, and Apple handles the charge, renewal notices, price-change consent and refunds for them. Prices on the web include any sales tax that applies, so the price shown is the price you pay. Prices in the iPhone app are set and charged by Apple, including any tax Apple applies.
What Rosterly Plus is not. Sending your profile makes it visible to a program's coaches. It does not guarantee that a coach will view it, contact you, or offer you a place, and it is not a recruiting or admissions service.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or athletic credentials
- Access or attempt to access other users' data without authorization
- Scrape, harvest, or bulk-export data from the services
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the services
- Use the services to violate applicable recruiting rules or regulations
- Reverse engineer or resell the services without our written permission
7. Prohibited content and conduct
Rosterly has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You may not submit or share content that is sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, threatening, violent, or discriminatory, or that exploits or endangers minors, and you may not use the services to harass, intimidate, or abuse any other user.
Coaches can report an athlete profile from within the services, and anyone can report content or conduct by emailing privacy@joinrosterly.com. We review every report and remove content that violates these Terms within 24 hours of the report. We may also remove content, restrict features, or terminate accounts that violate this section, without notice and at our sole discretion. Coaches may remove any athlete from their recruiting board at any time.
8. Recruiting compliance
Rosterly is a communication and organization tool. It does not replace, and does not constitute advice about, the recruiting rules of the NCAA, other athletic associations, or individual institutions. Coaches and athletes are responsible for complying with the rules that apply to them.
9. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the services you agree to that collection and use.
10. Termination
You may stop using the services and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the services. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 7, 11, 12 and 13, and the parts of Section 5 about amounts already owed, refunds and payment disputes) survive.
11. Disclaimers
The services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Rosterly does not guarantee recruiting outcomes, scholarship offers, or admissions decisions.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rosterly will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the services is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that you may bring a claim in the small-claims court where you live.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice — for example, by email or an in-product notice — before the changes take effect. Continued use of the services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The date of the last revision is shown at the top of this page.
